Enrollment

Josue', Billy and Alex are working on getting the college students enrolled. Some of the universities require the students to attend in person while others are still on-line classes. Amy is still here for a few more days. She has been such a blessing helping with the little…

Isolation

Another of our older boys left because he just cannot handle studying collage courses on line. The isolation is mentally exhausting. This pandemic has affected our children, staff and prevented visitors from coming so it is terrible.

Teachers

I really wish I had an idea as to when we can get away from the Covid regulations. All of us miss having visitors. Visitors were such a wonderful blessing and helped us to give the kids joy and a knowledge of Christ. Hopefully we can start bringing…

I need help

We received a donation of bedding 9 sheets, etc) which greatly appreciated. Our three psychologists are orienting our older children about university life as some started this week. Most will be on-line but a few have to go in person. I was shocked when Jim told me that…

Heidy returned

I had the children pray in church for various things. One of those things was for more Americans to come. Hopefully teams can start coming soon but I was speaking about staff. Although our population is very low I believe it will rise. We will need help. Right…

Older girls

There is not any way I can say it well enough for you to understand but our older girls have been such a blessing. They monitor the classes from Kindergarten through seniors and then they help in the baby dorm. Their college classes are remote at night or…

Check-ups

Our physician and nurses are performing check-ups on all the children on campus. By having our own clinic we can monitor the children better. Many of the older children have had the COVID vaccinations. I have actually made radio programs until Christmas 2022.

A scare

One of our social workers has Covid for the second time so that puts us on alert as she was around many adults and children the last week. Again I ask your prayers. Minor is so very intelligent. I made 50 radio shows an accidentaly deleted half of…

Garden

Dottie and her boys worked in her garden while I made Radio shows. I have every daily program through September just in case the COVID continues. Josue met with a judge giving us more children. I failed to tell you that the reason we have been able get…

Lazy day

Dottie had pain in her arm from the booster shot and I had a headache so we listened to tapes and then I made radio programs and worked on my Sunday sermon. Lazy day!

A soul to be saved

Jesus had a special place in His heart for children. Today two more children were sent to their homes. As I laid hands on them and prayed I felt a piece of me shrinking. Billy Sunday said, "I don't believe there are devils enough in hell to pull…

Visiting

Today was a cold Sunday so everyone just laid back. The staff that eats lunch with us on Sundays stayed longer so we just visited. Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.

Out of quarantine

The Lord sent us three new children last night which encourages me so much since the government has sent so many children back to their unhealthy situations. Each child we get is a soul who needs Jesus. Twenty-four kids left quarantine. We are Covid free on campus.

School days

Today, Friday, we began classes here on campus virtually. Every grade first through seniors will have a college boy or girl monitoring the class. Please pray for Billy, Flor and Kate as this is so very difficult. Some classes will receive class work from the teachers. Angelina will…

Where did it go?

School starts today (Friday) by remote. Pray that the children will watch their teachers virtually and pay attention. For some children sitting still is not a skill they have learned. I awoke this morning and immediately thought the following. "Make your life worthwhile". It is unbelievable that in…

Xela

Josue' and one of our social workers drove to Xela to bring a boy to court. It is more than a 3 hour drive so they left Casa at 5:30am. They got home at 4pm. One of Dottie's cousins passed away.

Accident

Quique returned by 8am as they casted his hand. It is a lousy time as universities begin soon and he will have to work left-handed. There was a five-vehicle accident with a umber of deaths in front of our entrance. Josue' and I went to pay the land…

Quique

Amy arrived last night to watch over the little boy's dorm while Heidy recovers from knee surgery. We sent the second group of older children to visit their families and 5 have tested positive so they will have to remain at their homes for 15 days & will…

Our little American Family

Billy and the teachers have one week before school starts. We will start the school year remotely so the children do not have much enthusiasm. Easily more than 80% have trouble concentrating by looking at a screen. Hopefully things will change soon. The American staff always eats Sunday…

The children’s stress

My heart is so saddened. This terrible pandemic is like being in a battle where your enemy is invisible. As we are about to begin another school year remotely many of the children and teens are experiencing sadness and last year studying was so difficult that we are…
