Biblical Pronciples of Success #8

Today was visiting day for parents and it went very smooth. So many of the children who were raised here come back with their own children now.

Looking at the principles that God has set out for our success in life we have seen that we must finish what we start. Endure, continue, keep moving and like thoughts should be a motto for us.

#16 My favorite story in the Bible can be found in Mark 9 where a father of a child with epilepsy goes to the disciples for help and they cannot get the job done. He goes to Jesus and Christ asks him a question.

v23 “If you can believe, all things are possible”  and the father answers “I believe—help my unbelief”. That is me! So many times I believe but I need Jesus to get me over the hump. Sometimes I am almost there. But I struggle with believing and I need Him to help me. Knowing that His mercy is new everyday causes me to be encouraged.

If you are going to be successful you must learn to rest. This is #17. Mark 6 says that Jesus took His disciples off into the desert to rest. God created everything in 6 days and then rested on the 7th day telling us that we need that day of rest also.

Lee asked me if I was ready to go home in two weeks and honestly I am so physically tired and mentally spent that getting to Lake Charles & just collapsing is my goal. We still have many hours of work before I leave but it will be great to rest.

Try it!
