His love

What you are is God's gift to you. What you become is your gift to God. The team is small but working so hard. Oscar and Alan are working with them as are the university boys. Dr. Lou has a dialysis patient that he wants to send her…

Construction

The team hit the ground running and the job is huge but they are serious about getting the rebuild finished. Two women are on this team and they are working on our storage unit for teams that bring shoes, clothes, gifts, etc.

Families missed

The team spent their afternoon preparing the items they brought for the children as well as looking at exactly what they will need for constructing in the dorm. A box of building supplies disappeared. Our Sunday lunch with the American staff and some of the children is such…

Work team

We had water Baptism this morning and Jim performed the 31 baptisms. Tim D. & his team arrived to begin the renovation of the Doncella's bathroom. Billy says that our school teachers should be returning within two weeks to have in class education. We are praying that this…

Dottie’s dog Champ

One boy was interviewed by the judge because the mother wanted him back. He told his story and the mother was sentenced to 2 years in prison. Orlando is preparing the sponsor envelopes and sponsor lists so the children can write their individual sponsors. Champion is Dottie's favorite…

Kimberly

The new nurse is Kimberly the niece of Andres, Estella's husband, and will work 24 hours in dialysis and be off 48 hours. She will live in their dorm & help on her days off. So she is a double blessing. "Carry each other's burdens and so fulfill…

Nurse found

It appears that we have the dialysis nurse giving us three nurses. So we have one nurse for each 3 dialysis patients. We have a work team arriving Saturday to rebuild the bathroom in one of our dorms. Saturday we will have a water baptism.

Nurse

The Lord blessed us with another little girl last night. We continue to pray daily for more children. The 9 year old dialysis child cannot come until we hire another nurse. Pray hard because we are moving ahead with the dialysis as our board is in agreement to…

Lindsay

Carlos was one of the boys raised at Casa, got married, became a policeman and was killed. He has a daughter age eleven who has bone cancer and the physicians are removing one leg. Pray for his wife as she has suffered so much. Pray also enough leg…

Marlin’s ministry

Today we began a different method of worship as the Covid had made us have just one service with everyone included. Today Marlin began having a service for the three youngest dorms: Angelitos, Estrellitas and Cometas. El Salvador, south of Guatemala, had 62 gang murders in one day…

Embarrassed

We awakened to the commode upstairs in our house not working. I tried for over an hour with no luck so I called Alan and together we worked but could not fix it. What a mess! Embarrassed! I was giving out the money from sponsors to all the…

Joni

I feel fine today so it was only a 24 hour bug. Billy Graham said,we "Nothing can bring a real sense of security into the home except true love". We are slowly opening the doors for teams to come to Casa because we need you to love our…

Flu

I awoke to feelings of the flu as well as a very pounding headache. Dottie & others went to purchase groceries. So I took the opportunity to listen to sermons from Elizabeth Elliot, David Jeremiah and Charles Swindoll . God says that the Word of God is as…

Demolation

Oscar, Alan along with the older boys are demolishing the bathrooms in one dorm in order to be ready for a work team coming on April 2nd. We will need a number of work teams in the months to come. We received a new child last night which…

3 states

By law Josue has to sign the judge's order when we receive a new child. Today we received a girl at 4am and last week on two occasions he had to sign at 1am. I know many of you are praying for the Ukraine. Ten million have left…

Work teams needed

The transition homes are increasing. These are young people over age 18 that live in their own room and come on campus to visit their siblings. They come to church on Sundays. They are either attending college or working which allows them to grow their bank accounts. The…

Ashamed

There was an accident in a mine near Chiquemula with 10 miners pulled out. Five died. I was so ashamed this morning. When I began to preach I had the wrong outline and so I was confused. It was a fiasco. So I simply gave my testimony of…

Transition

The worst affect we are having with the COVID besides not having teams in two years is that older students are struggling so hard with on line studying that they are choosing to leave and hunt for a job. It is hard to convince that that "this too…

Old friends

Thirty years ago Jerry and Curtis visited and actually slept on our porch. But from that visit the dorms Esperanza, Doncellas, baby dorm, Estrellitas, the dining, kitchen, clinic, trade school and workshops, our home and so much more were built. God used them mightily. I have reconnected with…

Corrie

Our children who were eligible for their second COVID injection received it today. Corrie Ten Boom said, "Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden". Today I was thinking of Corrie and how simple she made…
