God says that we should remember the poor. John12:8 tells us that poverty is not going anywhere. We will always have the poor. Leviticus 19:10 says that we should help the poor. I remember a few years back that a neighbor on property behind Casa was burned to the ground. A team was here and we were able in 5 days to rebuild them a small house. That team left Casa knowing that they had made a huge difference.
Scriptures on peace provide comfort, and encouragement for navigating life´s challenges. I cannot imagine what life would be for me if I did not have the beautiful scriptures on peace. Life is a struggle and we need something to hold onto. Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, abound in hope.”
.Psalm145:7 says, “They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.” Saint Augustine said “In the house of God there is a never -ending festival; the angel choir makes eternal holiday; the presence of God´s face gives joy that never fails. And from that everlasting, perpetual festivity there sounds in the ears of the heart a strain, mysterious, melodious, sweet- provided the world does not drown it.” He is speaking of the cause of celebration.
