This photograph of Shandi and Michelle show the bond they already feel for one another. Michelle did have an episode of crying the first night after Adela left. But Shandi, Mariella and Carolyn were able to calm her down.

The schedule is coming together with the changes. The nurse Paola will be with the weekends, Shandy will sleep 5 days with Michelle and Barbara will take her place weekends.

Carolyn, of course will work 5 days doing most of the cooking and caring for Dottie. Tony and Quique will continue their work with Dottie while Orlando and Kimberly will purchase groceries for each week. So, it appears it takes a village to replace Adela.

Yuesbely from dialysis left for her home and telling her goodbye had both of us crying.

I believe the remaining two dialysis children will be in regular dorms. It is so sad as we spent so much time and money on building the dialysis dorm. We had as many as 11 in the dorm at one time but when Dr Lou changed jobs the children slowly died or returned to their family.

I want to say again that of the dozens of dialysis children who lived at Casa there was only one I never was sure about his salvation. Every other child made a profession of faith and for that I am eternally grateful.

Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”  I know that God is with me no matter what is happening.
