David and Danny

Pastor Dave and Danny were house parents for the boys. The two boys’ dorms had 100 or so each. David and his wife, Regina, stayed here for 17 years. I will never forget the day Dave told me he was leaving. We cried together and he told me through his tears that his grandchildren did not know who he was. I can truly identify with that. The hardest part of missionary life is being separated from your family.
Ted and Lori came with a few folks. They will be here a week.
Tony, my son, and I went for haircuts and a little shopping.
AW Tozer said, “While it looks like things are out of control, behind the scenes there is a God who has not surrendered His authority.” With all that has happened with Dottie and Adela I sometimes it is out of control. So, I claim this saying from Tozer as mine.
David´s prayer for forgiveness in Psalm 51 is one of the most eloquent in the Bible. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew in me a right spirit within me…Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold me with your FREE SPIRIT.” Psalm 51:10,12. He had plotted the murder of Uriah, the husband of Bathsheba, with whom he committed adultery. His sin separated him from God. He prayed for the restoration of the relationship. The Holy Spirit might be described as offered freely to us by God when we receive Christ.
