Buying groceries

Of course buying groceries for our house is a major responsibility. Orlando and Kimberli have taken on that labor of love.

Happy! Sad! Fernando was raised at Casa as was his wife, Anna. He has been here for 35 years. Anna then worked for 14 years with the laundry, and they have been house parents for 8 years. I am blessed to call them my children.

They are moving on and I am blessed for them. Their faithfulness and love for the children they watched over the years has been from the heart. I will miss them so much, but I am so happy for them.

Michelle is so very happy that Shandi will be caring for her when Adela leaves.

I will speak next Sunday on why we named our ministry Build Your House on the Rock. There was a specific reason I chose this name nearly 50 years ago.

I wrote of my joy and peace with the new setup for Dottie and Michele and later Jackie told me she is resigning. Now we need someone else to replace her. I am struggling but can only believe that God is in control. So stressful! Jackie is an excellant nurse filled with compassion.

Dottie had a rough night. I am fine so Dottie probably has 3 days more of the discomfort as it appears I gave her my germs. Thank you for the prayers.

I John 3:17 “But if anyone has the world´s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God´s love abide in him?” We as Christians need to show that by looking to the needs of others. Poverty and pain surround us.

Numbers 24:17 “I shall see Him, but not now: I shall behold Him, but not nigh: there shall come a STAR OUT OF JACOB, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel and shall smite the corners of Moab and destroy all the children of Sheth.” Balaam, a pagan magician spoke these words about Jesus.

The nation of Israel is sometimes referred to in the Bible as “Jacob” because it sprang from the 12 sons, or tribes, of the patriarch Jacob. A star was considered the symbol of an exceptional king. Remember Joseph had a dream in which the sun and moon bowed down to him. The stars symbolized the 11 brothers bowing to the 12^th star Joseph. Remember when Jesus was born a star appeared.
