My job was to block

Jaquelin doing therapy with Dottie. Dottie actually has therapy 6 times a week.

Mathison says “When you have faith in God, you don´t have to worry about the future. You know it is all in his hands. You just go and do your best.”

The quote above is my heart´s purpose. Faith is not sitting around trusting that God will do it. Faith means you work hand in hand with God. Faith to me means that I am God´s partner.

I believe one reason Dottie and I have had such a long, successful marriage is that we are part of a team with God in each of us. When I was playing football I scored only a few touchdowns. My job was to block, and the other backs carried the ball. Who scored was not the important thing. Success was!!! Be satisfied and simply be who God has called you to be.

Dottie woke up asking to see the babies, so Adela took her to see them. She spoke of our 3 babies who passes away.

Another name for Jesus is found in Isaiah 53:3-4, “He is despised and rejected of mem; a MAN OF SORROWS and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely, He has carried our griefs and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.”

In our society the word sorrow suggests a state of deep remorse or regret over the loss of something or someone highly loved and esteemed. With the loss of our own 3 children and the dozens of children from Casa Dottie and I are very familiar with that pain.
