Estefani and Vanessa were raised at Casa and today Estefani is the house parent for the Buen Pastor boys and Vanessa is the house mother for Esperanza girls. All of our dorms have at least one parent who was raised at Casa. Giving back is what Christians should always be prepared to do.
The children had smores Thursday night and pizza tonight.
Friday was May 1st which is celebrated by everyone, and the children had no school classes. All workers had the day off.
The folks from El Estor also came and cooked for the children. They bought all the food and cooked all three meals and provided snacks twice. They also did activities. They even bought a cake and sang Happy Birthday to Dottie. So, it was a great day Friday.
The new girls adjusted almost immediately and having the team from Mississippi really helped because they were doing crafts with the girls and you could see the joy on their faces. The team leaves Saturday morning. It seemed like it was such a quick trip.
Amid your battles remember Jesus loves you and only wants the best for you.
LORD OF THE HARVEST is another name for Jesus. Matthew 9:38 says “Pray you therefore the LORD OF THE HARVEST, that He will send laborers into His harvest.” This was the reaction of Jesus as large crowds came to Him seeking healing or blessings.
He was overwhelmed so He is praying that His Father would send Him help. He wanted many workers to harvest the fields of souls. Now Jesus had unlimited power, but He desired more people would get into ministry. He knew His time on earth was limited. He saw that there was so much to do. Jesus wanted many, many disciples to continue His work as His time on earth was getting shorter. By the way!!! Jesus is still in the harvesting business.
