University Police Force.

Dottie had a very difficult time during the night. She certainly needs our prayers.

There was a riot in Antigua on Wednesday and continuing the last few days. They closed the entrance to the city. The crowd did not want the old president of San Carlos University (USAC) to be reelected. The riot spilled over to Guatemala City where there were buses across the roads keeping people unable to drive in or out of the area.

It is all about the president of the university wanting to be reelected. Students do not like him, so he shut down the university saying it was for 3 months. The school has its own police force, and the law prevents any other law enforcement to go on the property.

The government said it was illegal but so far, he has not reopened the school.

USAC was founded in 1676 and has 230,000 students on campus or online. It is the largest in Central America. A few of our students have attended there and Tony who lives with us and cares for Dottie is set to graduate so I have no idea how this will affect him. The next name for Jesus is JUDGE OF THE QUICK AND DEAD as seen in Acts 10:42. “And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He which was ordained of God to be the JUDGE OF THE LIVING AND THE DEAD.” This was said by Peter when he was preaching to the centurion, a Gentile. Acts 10:25-43. Jesus as JUDGE is a major theme of the Old Testament. Now in the New Testament it is a dividing line in history. At he great white throne judgment in the end time, He will send those who do not believe into eternal judgment.

 We also see in 2 Timothy 4:8 that He is the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE.
