I asked Alvaro to preach in my place on Easter Sunday. He and his wife are dorm parents in Vencedores which are young boys. I believe that every dorm parent here can preach the Word.

I just want to sit and listen to what God is saying to us from the respective of a dorm parent. Easter Sunday is such a special day. I want to be bathed in the Word.

Dottie woke up and said “I didn´t realize we were in Lake Charles.” It was funny and we laughed about it. I cannot imagine a happier sick person then her.

The rains have been so hard and relentless. It caused major problems with flooding in Villa Nueva and other areas around Guatemala City.

Adela is so sweet and she and Dottie just laugh and laugh.

Gladys bought lunch for Dottie and I and shared with us. Esvin and Flor came also. Gladys was one of the first girls at Casa when we only had 9 children She has been with us constantly for 37 years. I can remember the moment that I met her in a government orphanage and how when asked by the lawyers if she wanted to go to her home or stay in the orphanage or go with me, she did not look up and did not know I was an American but she simply with her head down pointed in my direction.

She did not interact with me for weeks. But one morning coming down the stairs to the dining room she was following Jorge as he kissed me good morning. She hesitated and kissed my cheek. “Good morning” she said as she kissed my cheek. A day over 37 years ago that I will remember forever.

I do not know if you are enjoying the names for Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit but I enjoy studying and sharing with you. Today we look at Luke 1:68-69 where it says, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel: for He has visited and redeemed His people and has raised up a HORN OF SALVATION for us in the house off His servant David.” This verse is part of the song of praise know that as the “Benedictus” that Zacharias sang at the birth of his son John.

An animal horn was used as a container for the oil that was poured on the head of a king in an anointing ceremony. I Samuel 16:13. As the HORN OF SALVATION Jesus is all sufficient Savior who sprang from the line of David. In Bible times a trumpet a trumpet or shofar was made from an animal horn.
