63

The wedding.
I was able to hang the 3 paintings of LSU sent to me by Tony Bernard. I also hung 3 others of the dialysis children and my wedding in 1963.
There were only 7 of us in attendance. Dottie and I were the couple. Her Dad performed the ceremony. My Dad was best man. Dottie´s mother played the piano. Her sister was maid of honor. Her husband was the only visitor.
Dottie´s father had given me $60 to marry Dottie in that simple ceremony because he had no money. From that simple ceremony we have been together 63 years. That is a dollar a year.
I have been ill for 2 days. It is like the flu and I am very exhausted. Need your prayers.
“When Christ who is our LIFE shall appear, then you shall also appear with Him in Glory.” Colossians 3:4. We are accustomed to thinking of Jesus in terms of eternal life. But here the passage Paul describes Jesus as the LIFE of believers in the here and now.
We do not have to wait until we die to enjoy with Jesus. We can live each day with joy despite frustrations and problems. We can live each day with joy.
