9 of these 10 young men were raised at Casa.

“Why doesn´t God speak” is something I have heard from many people over the years. My only answer is “Maybe we are not listening.” I have experienced more heart ache over the years from my dad´s accident when I was in high school, through the deaths of our three children, the many deaths here in Guatemala. I have cried over the dialysis children and have buried over 30 children from Casa.

Now I cry for Dottie´s illness. Dottie had what appeared a seizure. She passed out and vomited horribly. Pray daily please. The nurse Jackie was allowed to stay and look after Dottie. It is 4 hours later and Dotie has recovered. PTL!

I am listening!! How do we listen to God? We read His Word every day and we pray for wisdom. If we ignore Him and His Word, why should we complain when we say God is not listening and answering us? The blessings you have tomorrow follows the work you do today.

Carlos 1 who was one of the first 20 children to come to Casa in 1990 visited last Sunday and told me he was working for a lawyer from home. Th lawyer is in the USA, so Carlos helps with cases. I am proud of him.

Remember Sunday the boys missed the first half of the soccer game due to preaching? Well, they made the second half and won and then won the second game for the championship. It reminds me of Chariots of Fire. They brought the trophy to my house as they have done so many times over the years..

I knew nothing of soccer in 1989 when we arrived in Guatemala but my children´s love for these games made me a fan. I think the Spanish folks are more intense than USA football fans.

As we continue looking at the name of Jesus we come to Hebrews 1:1-2 which says “God, who spoke in time past into the fathers by the prophets, has these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom he has appointed HEIR OF ALL THINGS, by whom also made the worlds.” An HEIR” is one who receives or is entitled to receive some endowment or quality from a parent or predecessor.

I will leave a little money when I die but the writers of Hebrews declares that Jesus is HEIR OF ALL THINGS, and this was granted unto Him by God Himself. God has granted Jesus all things. He set the term of salvation to Jesus. When earthly folks read a will they see things for themselves while as Jesus leaves a will stating we are joint heirs with Him.
