 My son and I went to breakfast which we need to do more often. He is a good listener.

Cindy B finally got here from Carolina. For many years and trips of many months she has been faithful. The older boys love her, and, like Mitch, they have both ministering to many of the older as well as the younger boys.

I will preach on number 6 of the 7 words to change your family, COMMITMENT from 1 John 2:19. A family must be committed to God and to one another. I chose 11 areas in which we should commit. Prayer, Bible study, Confession, Praise and worship, serve others, Seek God´s Guidance, Get Right with Others, Tithe, Fast, Witness and Being Grateful.

The opening of our school is delayed as there were three rooms still to finish so school will begin Wednesday. The high school in the village where our older students attend did start last Monday.

“For thou o Lord. Will bless the righteous; with favor will thou compass him as with a SHIELD.” (Psalm 5:1). David is praying this Psalm for protection from his enemies. He uses military terminology to characterize God as his SHIELD who will surround him and absorb the blows of those who are on the attack.

As our shield, God provides maximum protection. He literally surrounds us with His watchful care.
