First day for teachers

Dottie with Jackeline and Carolyn

With Adela, Jacqeline, Casa the nurses, Shandi and Caroline, Dottie is getting tremendous help. And with me, the boys in my house and Orlando do the heavy lifting and they demonstrate their love for Dottie all the time. I believe this large group of helpers is why Dottie has good days than bad days.

I was talking when I took a terrible fall as I was going down the ramp and the boys left a table on the floor. I cut my arm and have a goose egg on my head, my blood pressure is 144/95 which is high for me.

Tony who is near college graduation, and he was telling me something very interesting. The Spanish and conquered the Mayans. When they name cities they often used both names. San Lucas (Spanish) and Sacatepequez (Mayan or Kaqchikel). Peten is Mayan and the city there is Los Flores which is Spanish.  From Guatemala to Panama was one Mayan country until the capture by Spain.

There is only one place in the Bible where God is called THE LORD WHO HEALS. “And God said, if thou will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God…I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD THAT HEALETH thee.” Exodus 15:26. This phrase was used after God healed the bitter waters at Marah. He healed Miriam of leprosy. He healed King Hezekiah of a mysterious illness. He healed the people in the wilderness after they were bitten by poisonous snakes. Psalm 41:4 “Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.”
