Felix

Felix is standing to my left. Moses, my grandson, is knelling next to Dottie.

I have grown so weak the last 18 months staying inside with Dottie so much and rejecting my own health. I had an examination and Adela began working physical therapy on me and in 3 days I have felt better. Adela is a special young lady with a heart so large.

Yesterday, Moises, my grandson came with his mom, Jacqueline, and brought Felix who was raised at Casa, adopted and became a US Marine and now he is retired. He served also in the Iraq war and Afghanistan. When he came here with his sister, they were mixed race and we had a mean social worker who disliked negroes and worked 3 full years to get the two of them moved to a government home.

The team leaves Saturday but before they left they had a pizza patty for everyone Friday night.

Felix was a wonderful child and has made a good life. God obviously blessed his life. In 2 days, he will be 40 years old. He lives in Texas and has two children. Seeing him made my day so special. I cried so much when they took him away from me. In fact it made me get a walking cane and to get to work on my health.

The name of God appears in a psalm that David wrote after he was delivered from King Saul and others who wanted to kill him. “The Lord thundered from heaven, and the MOST HIGH resounded.” David compares God´s ability to save to the power that is unleashed during a severe thunderstorm.  Just before His death, Stephen declares “the MOST HIGH dwelleth not in temples made with hands.”
