Adela

I want to tell you about Adela. If God told me to construct the perfect young lady it would be her. She has lived with Dottie and me and sleeps with our special needs daughter Michelle for 10 years. She cares for Michelle every day making her meals, giving her baths and most of all loving Michelle like a sister.

But that is just one phase of who she is. She cooks all the meals 7 days a week for the eight of us.

She is responsible for the medication for all of us and especially Michelle´s seizure medicine. She can even predict when Michelle is about to have a seizure.

She loves Dottie so much and they laugh together. They have a special mother/daughter relationship. I can honestly say that without Adela it would make my life impossible.

She has even set me up for physical therapy of which she performs on me.

She has finished her work and has received a college degree in psychology. Without her our lives would be so much more difficult.

The team left Saturday but had a pizza party for everyone on Friday.

The older girls came to visit Dottie last night and they stayed quiet a while.

My blood pressure was 173/88.

The younger girls in Esperanza walked with me as I used a walking cane. Then they came in the house and prayed for Dottie.

Isaiah 26:7 is the only place in the Bible where this name of God (MOST UPRIGHT) appears. “The way of the just is uprightness: thou, MOST UPRIGHT, does weigh the path of the just. Isaiah´s point is that even the most righteous and upright people are as nothing in comparison to the holiness of God.

Isaiah considers this dramatic contrast between the Lord´s righteousness and our sin, then declares, “All our righteousness are as filthy rags…and iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6) In spite of our unworthiness, God comes to our rescue through the sacrificial death of His Son.
