Newly weds

A second point I made in my sermon concerning prayer is Have a forgiving spirit. I have lived a long time, and I have hurt others and others have harmed me. But if I want God to hear and answer my prayer, I must have a forgiving spirit as seen in Mark 11:25.

Estephany came to Casa at age 2 months and this week she left at age 23. We both cried a river. She wrote me a three-page letter filled with gratitude and promises that she will finish collage and serve Christ all her life. I have been blessed with many children like her. You will see her foto tomorrow.

Yesterday Adela did Kimberly´s hair and she was so pretty. The wedding was so special.

Another name for the Heavenly Father is BUCKLER as found in Psalm 18:30. “As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a BUCKLER to all that trust Him.” A buckler was a small shield that warriors wore on their arms. It was a defensive weapon that protected them from the thrusts of swords and spears in hand-to-hand combat.

To the psalmist, the Lord was a buckler because He shielded him from the harsh words and savage attacks of his enemies. God promises protection for His people if we trust in Him and follow His commands.
