Dottie´s Mother

This is Dottie´s mom shortly before she went home to Jesus. Dottie´s sister, Helen, is at the top.

I have begun an 8-week teaching for Sunday mornings for the children. It is 7 words that will provide a stable marriage and family. And it will conclude with a word I have stood on all my life.

Dottie and I have had our problems over 63 years of marriage, but we always would take our problems to God. Divorce would have been easy but we both wanted the marriage to work. The healing words are Forgiveness, Blessing and Honor. The three building words are Truth, Church and Commitment and the final word is Love.

I have one word I will spare until the end. That word is????. My prayers since coming to Guatemala have always included my children marrying the person God has chosen for them.

Psalm 90:1 “Lord, thou hast been a DWELLING PLACE in all generations. This name for Jesus may be the oldest in the entire book of Psalms because it is attributed to Moses who led the Israelites during their wandering in the wilderness. This was a time, before they settled in Canaan, when they did not have permanent houses. They lived in tents which they moved from place to place.

Despite all the moving they still considered God their DWELLING PLACE. His presence followed them, wherever they moved, and His faithfulness continued from one generation to another. God is still our dwelling place. God serves as our ultimate refuge, source of security, protection, and home, not a physical location but an eternal, constant presence where we find rest, fulfillment and intimate fellowship.
