Christmas Day! All the staff is taking a sigh of relief as the last 10 days have been filled with activities for the children.

Julietta, Dottie´s therapist, is cutting her hours back and will come only two days. I will have to see how that works in case I need to hire another therapist. Julieta, who was raised at Casa, and is a certified therapist has worked 3 days a week for 14 months with Dottie.

We have Jaqueline on Tuesdays and Saturdays doing therapy and another nurse is coming from the states within the next week. Shandi helps Saturdays so Dottie is greatly loved.

Physically Dottie tries so hard, but it is painful and she tires easily. Her mind is really going down fast. She repeats herself and most of the time thinks we are in Louisiana.

Dr Herman Alb came and he was the one who I met in 1989 that changed my life and prayed with me about coming to Guatemala. Also, David and Brenda who first came to Casa 25 years ago are here being Santa and his wife. It has been so wonderful yo have them here with us.

The prophet Jeremiah spoke of God as THE GUIDE OF MY YOUTH. See Jeremiah 3:4. In Psalm 23:4 David wrote, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fill no evil for though art with me.”

I trust that God is my guide everyday of my life. I would be walking in darkness if He was not my guide.
