Brother Teddie
Many years ago, when I was in Lafayette I married a couple in my church. The girl was 15 and he was 18. They stayed faithful and she even received a PhD. I heard from them today as they are celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. God can take something impossible and make it possible. What seemed so terrible a half century ago turned into a strong marriage. Our Father in heaven is so wonderful.
I was blessed to have Brother Teddie from Grand Bay, Al. stopped for a visit on his way to the airport.
Another name used for God in the Bible is FATHER OF LIGHTS found in James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the FATHER OF LIGHTS with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James had in mind the creation account from the book of Genesis.
In Genesis 1:17 the Word says on the fourth day, God created the sun, moon and stars and set them in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth. The people of many ancient cultures thought of the heavenly bodies as gods. But James declared that they were created things, brought into being by the one true God of the universe.
