Dr. Lou

Dr. Lou: A true man of God.
For many years we have helped Dr. Randal Lou with his kidney disease program. He treated all the dialysis children who came to Casa and performed transplants on some. The Vice-president of Guatemala presented him with the first Dr. Noel Solomon award. The VP described Dr. Lou as an exemplary researcher who combines rigor, ethics and commitment. We are so honored to have helped Dr. Lou with transplants and a home here on campus for dozens of kidney patient children.
Some of you helped and we were able to give $1200 a month for over 20 years to that program in the city and of course all the children living and being treated here over the years. I will forever remember that noon meal over 20 years ago when we agreed to open the doors of Casa for those children with kidney disease. So many have died but I can only remember one who I was not sure if he was saved, and I believe he did in the end accept Christ.
“Thanks be to God for His UNSPEAKABLE GIFT” (2 Corinthians 9:15). Of course, the Unspeakable Gift is Jesus, God´s Son and the Salvation that comes from Him. Unspeakable makes it clear that this Gift of Jesus Christ is too wonderful for words, beyond measure or indescribable. It is a gift and unable to be earned by our own works.
Being a gift means it cannot be earned nor purchased. Being unspeakable means it is beyond speech which means it is inexpressible, indescribable and cannot be expressed or processed with words.
