Dottie feels much better

Water into Wine.

I arose early feeling poorly so I called a friend, and we went for coffee.

Dottie felt better today.

Dennis and his small team left this morning, and I already miss them. For decades they have visited Casa and as I age I think so much about all the folks over the years who have helped Casa to be the miracle home that it became.

The maintenance team worked on my roof where it was leaking from all the rain.

We have hired 3 new nurses the last 10 days.  I am believing we are getting more children.

A third older boy this week was able to find a job. He found someone to live with and leaves today. I miss them all so much as they have been with me for decades.

But the government wants a separation between those 18 and older from those under 18. I understand their reasoning, but it does make it hard. My folks in 1961 took me to the back door pointed and said, “There is the world, go find your place.” Looking back, I can say it was great advice.

Maybe my favorite name for God or Jesus is Go´el which is found in two forms. First, we see it Deuteronomy 4:37 where it says, “For the Lord thy God is a merciful God: he will not forsake thee nor destroy it, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he swore unto them.”

But my most powerful image of Go él is found in the Book of Ruth 4 where it teaches us of the “KINSMAN REDEEMER”. I love that Word used to portray His love for us.

This was a male relative who according to various laws found in the Pentateuch, had the responsibility to act for a relative who was in trouble, danger or need of vindication. (I always am). It is a relative who, at his own expense, pays off the debts of another. But it goes far beyond financial debt. It is our debt of sin that we need redeeming from.

There are three qualities needed. First, must be closely related to the one who needs redemption for himself, his family or his property. Second, a person has to be willing to be the redeemer and cannot be forced to do so. Third he must have the means to pay the debt. Jesus is the BRIDEGROOM and KINSMAN-REDEEMER of His church(us). He has taken the responsibility to care and provide for me.
