6 Areas of Fear

We only have eight 15-year-old girls who are quincianieras this year. This is the first year since my coming to Guatemala that I will not be escorting one of the girls.

I am working on Sunday´s sermon and I am trying to provide wisdom for the children leaving at the end of the year due to their age. Many have been here for over 20 years.

There are 6 areas of fear where Satan discourages them and us also. The greatest fears are fear of poverty, death, sickness, old age, criticism and the loss if a loved one.

So, from an early age to the grave there will be fears brought on by the devil to keep the best life from happening for us. We know that God does not give us a spirit of fear so we must stand on His Word.

We have been blessed with $150,000 worth of playground equipment which is enough to build 3 playground areas. We just need to get it shipped to Casa. It is expensive.

Another name for God is “SHEPHERD AND BISHOP OF OUR SOULS” as found in I Peter 2:25. It says, “For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” Sheperd highlights His role in guiding, protecting, and caring for believers, like a shepherd cares for his flock.

“BISHOP” or “OVERSEER” emphasizes His authority and responsibility to watch over and guide the spiritual well-being of believers. Jesus provides guidance and care for His followers , feeding them spiritually, protecting them from danger and guiding them down the right path. He lays down His life for His people.
