As you read this Sunday morning pray for Flor as she is undergoing surgery early today.
This is parent visitation day, so the parents come to the services and then have a parenting session where Makko shares parenting skills with them. It has been a very successful program.
The US Embassy sent out a security alert to US citizens. It is about gang violence on the other side of Guatemala City. It is not near us at all. It is a warning to commercial enterprises. We are not in any danger.
Estela left yesterday.
Estefany left the hospital and was sent home because she is 18 years old. Please pray for her and her family being able to send her for dialysis. Her sponsor sent a Bible, and she has it so pray she will read it because that is the best medicine. T
he church, Fraternidad, came and played with the children and ministered the Word.
YAHWEH SHALOM is another name of God and means “The Lord is Peace.” Shalom is a Hebrew word, but so much richer in its range of meanings than the English word “peace”. The concept of Shalom in English is absence of conflict or a state of inner calm.
But it Hebrew it means wholeness, completeness, finished word, perfection, safety and wellness. Judges 6:24 says “So Gideon built an altar there and called it The Lord is Peace. It is no wonder as to why Jesus is called Prince of Peace.
