Not until Sunday

Now that Shirley has graduated, I am down to 5 or 6 college students that have an opportunity to graduate soon. Adela, William and Kimberly are on track to graduate within the year. Tony and Quique have a year to go.
It is really an accomplishment to graduate in Guatemala. It is very difficult and nothing like studying in the USA. Since the government wants to keep our population under age 18 it will affect college studies. However, if their grades are good, we can keep them until 21 by putting them off the main campus into the transition dorms.
Our new addition’s roof is leaking terribly. Last night there were 7 leaks in our kitchen and hallway.
Libby has been here a few months and has been such a blessing working with the younger girls. But sadly, she left today. We need more long-term help.
Flor will not have surgery until Sunday. It is a terrible break.
Gangs have taken over the largest prison in Guatemala and are holding the guards as hostages.
QEDOSH YISRAEL is another name for God used by the Israelites. It means “THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL” and emphasizes God´s uniqueness, otherness and mystery as well as His call to His people to become holy as He is. Leviticus 19:1-2 sees the Lord speaking to Moses, “Speak to the entire assembly od Israel and say to them: ´Be holy, because I, the Lord your God, am holy.´”
When you pray to the Holy One of Israel, you are praying to the God whose holiness not only encompasses His separation from evil, but His power, knowledge, justice, mercy, goodness and love. God exists above and apart from the world He has made.
