My Goodbye to Kajn

I shed a few tears as I made this last radio show for KAJN, Radio in Crowley, La.

I did make a 20-minute goodbye tape to KAJN Radio, and I cried through much of it. A huge part of my life was spent studying for and producing those daily broadcasts. I figured I preached14,335 messages on radio over that period.

Do not be surprised if I do not send a tape to KAJN every so often if Craig has a place to use it. Maybe midnights!

Elizabeth Elliot said, “He can transform something terrible into something wonderful. Suffering is never for nothing.”

Dottie and I as you know lost our first three children to early deaths of 1 day, 3 months and 9 years. It was a horrible blow each time. I was sitting in a church service in Lafayette, La. when a Scottish preacher came out of the pulpit and walked to me 7 rows deep and said to us, “You are going to be the father and mother of many children.”

Our children were dead and Dottie´s tubes were tied so we just looked at one another thinking, “Surely this guy has no idea what he is speaking about.” But God did transform our lives from sorrow to something beautiful. For each child the devil killed God gave us 2000 children in Guatemala.

Many of the 6000 are married, going to church, have jobs and have children. So, 6000 plus husbands/wives with a child or two or three we can say that over 24,000 individuals have been personally touched by your ministry through Casa Aleluya. And we are not finished.

There are over 100 of our children in ministry and if they reach only 1000 souls each in their lifetime 100,000 thousand will be saved. And it all began when during my first year on KAJN Barry Thompson told me to quit teaching on faith but rather teach on the family.

Dottie´s body is weak, and she is paralyzed from the waist down, but she prays, sings and occasionally can understand when reading her bible. Casa Aleluya will continue one day without us, but Jesus does not retire. My prayer Casa will always be here until Jesus comes.

The Israelites believed that YAHWEH was MELEK or KING not just over Israel but over every nation on earth. They understood that the Temple in Jerusalem was the earthly symbol of God´s heavenly throne. They were expecting a coming Messiah would come and safe them from their enemies and establish his rule over the whole world. The New Testament presents Jesus as the King of Kings.

When you pray to YAHWEH MELEK you are praying to the God who watches over all the earth and who will one day come in glory to usher in an eternal kingdom of peace and righteousness. Psalm 47:7 “God is King over all the earth.” Here is a promise for us. “The righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.”
