My Miss 4th of July

Dottie is our choice for Miss July the 4th.

I taught Sunday on talking to God out loud and with emotion. God wants you to recognize your feelings. (Psalm 6:6), your weaknesses (Psalm 25:16), and His strengths (Psalm 24 :8). There are 7 thoughts that I had concerning prayer. It is serious business.

Only prayer can heal Dottie. Only prayer can open doors. Only prayer can speak to God.

When I woke up at 3am Dottie had removed most of her cover. For some reason she cannot speak to me during the night. This disease is so horrible and restrictive of a healthy life. But she is incredible. I cover her up and she will then say, “Thank you”.

Dottie really loves it when visitors come pray for her. With all the teams here, many have come to pray for Dottie which is wonderful and makes her smile. In fact, the Louisiana team had a physical therapist, so she worked with our therapist and was able to give some ideas for therapy.

Dottie´s left leg and foot have been swollen so we are using the compression boots more and milking her feet as she is swelling badly.

The demolishing of the interior of Estrelitas is going well.

One team took all the older children to the movies.

Another group is cleaning and repairing classrooms. It has been a wonderful week of activities.

Shandi is learning how to help with Dottie´s therapy.

We had a team of 46 from Tennessee arrive Saturday. The North Carolina team leaves Sunday night. It has been wonderful to have so many teams.

Another name for Jesus is the LAST ADAM as found in I Corinthians 15:45 says “The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” Jesus is the Father of a new human nature.

The first Adam brought sin and death. Jesus is the last Adam, bringing life. From Him flows Eternal Life. Jesus as Man, Second Man and Son of Man can be found in John 19:5; I Timothy 2:5.
