Retired physical therapist, Cindy, helping Julietta with Dottie.

It breaks my heart to tell you that Cindy will be returning to NC to be with her family. More on that tomorrow.

The team is having water balloons with every dorm throughout the day.

Wednesday we were still having aftershocks of 3.4 and 3.5 just 10 kilometers away. The government told everyone to stay home Wednesday. There are a reported 4 deaths and 8 missing.

The highway coming up from Antigua is closed so it is two way driving on the highway going down to Antigua. Shirley was graduating from university, and I was to walk her but the damage done by the earthquake makes it impossible to reach the graduation venue, so it is postponed.

Thursday morning there was a quake across the Guatemalan border near Tapachula Mexico. That is where I was 36 years ago when God spoke and said, “What you have you need and what you do not have you do not need.”

Another name for Jesus found in the Bible is MAN OF SORROWS. Isaiah 53:3 says, ”He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.” Jesus carried our sorrows.

You cannot imagine how much this means to me. I have been in sorrow for way too long. Jesus did not come to enjoy a life of happy kingship over the world. He came to carry the world´s sins and sorrows, that we might have eternal joy with Him and God the Father. Servant and slave also indicate His sorrow.
