VBS Begins

Vacation Bible School began today.

I can remember when Mississippi teams came with 60 people and had huge VBS programs where dozens of children were saved. I am praying with Dottie this will be a special week for the children.

I went to get my driver´s license renewed. That is usually a long time-consuming process. You need to purchase a Boleta de Ornato from your city hall, pay at a bank for the number of years you want the license to be, take your eye exam and sit while all that is processed. It usually was an all-day process. But today it was 40 minutes . My age goes first.

The FIRSTBORN is the next name used of Jesus. Jesus is our elder brother. Hebrews 12:23 says “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.” Christ is the firstborn of the dead, the first fruit of a new humanity, resurrected in new form.

As our eldest brother (Hebrews 1:11), He is heir to all things. Remember the first born of the Egyptians they were slain. But we were saved from death by the sacrifice of a lamb. In Colossians 1:18 He is the Firstborn from the Dead. And in I Corinthians 15:20 He is the First-fruits.
