New Couple

Rosa

A young couple, Colton and Gillian Dudley, arrived today. They are dedicating a minimum of one year to Casa. We can surely use young couples, and I am sure the administration will put them in the best spot.

Ted and Lori will be here 3 weeks to help.

The neurologist says that Dottie´s hips, knees and ankles are becoming stiffer despite the concentration of physical therapy in those areas. He was so blessed to see her attitude as after ten months she smiles and laughs constantly and never complains.

If she has pain during the night she simply holds my arm with both her hands she tries to go back to sleep. I promise you I have never seen anyone this sick with such a positive and joyful attitude. It is an indication of her deep and unchanging love for Christ and the willingness to accept whatever happens.

Sadly, I am not there yet. In fact, I suffer for her which of course does not help her.

I took a drive today alone just to thank God for all He has done and is doing.

The fourth responsibility we have towards others is a humdinger. Colossians 3:13 says, “Forgive one another.” Have you ever had someone lie about you or gossip about or just treat you with unforgiveness? It hurts to the bones to be lied about. Jesus says, “If possible, live at peace with all men”.

This scripture indicates that it may be impossible to live at peace with some people. But we are not to use that as an excuse. I suppose everyone who has ever lived has had someone dislike them and someone you dislike. Biblical forgiveness is a promise to not hold sin or wrongdoing against someone. It involves letting go of resentment and bitterness and choosing to love be reconciled with the person who has wronged you.
