Singing
A Guatemalan Senator was shot to death in his car.
The Lord blessed us with two new boys. They are cousins ages 11 and 13. Oops! The Lord just sent us 3 more boys ages 8, 9, 13. Thank you for praying. That is 9 children in 3 weeks just like the old days.
It was a little strange but one of the young married boys raised at Casa and doing well with his wife and child asked me a question. He said, “Papi, do you feel you have received everything you ever wanted from God?”. I have been so blessed, but I do have one regret, and it has been a prayer of mine since I first got saved.
I want to have a voice worthy of praising Jesus. But God has never answered that prayer so I will wait for heaven to be my place of song without ceasing. I wanted to sing at Dottie´s father´s funeral but she said I couldn´t. That is probably the most she ever hurt me.
But I was able to get even with her when I sang to her at our 50th wedding anniversary. She had a beautiful wedding gown and there were over 700 people in attendance. Gladys, Oscar and I secretly practiced a love song and I sprung it on her during the ceremony and she couldn´t say no. When I played it back, I realized she was right to not let me sing at her dad´s funeral.
However, the laugh is on me. I just told Dottie what I told you and she named the song I was to sing at the funeral and then told me she does not remember me singing at the wedding.
The last P of who God is follows Passionate, Persistent, Personal and Prepared. It is Permanent. Malachi 3:6 says, “For I the Lord do not change.” This is the foundation for our trust and faith. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”. God will do it again.
