#632 our story

McKenna has been here helping for many months but her sister, Amy, had a stroke so the family needs prayer. She is paralyzed on the left side.

The Alabama team as well as Mike F. left today.

Bob made this for Dottie

2/14/2004. We are still in North Arkansas and had lunch with a number of Sunday school classes at First Baptist of Springdale. Vernon drove up from Carthage, Texas because he desires to help at Casa. He would come for a few weeks but sadly became ill and passed away.

2/15. We ministered at First Baptist, Springdale in the morning and at Christ Church in Fayetteville in the evening. We had dinner with Pastor Jim and shared the story of Casa with them.

2/16. We had a truly blessed and enjoyable time this morning as we went to visit John Brown University in Siloam Springs and meet the President as we are wanting to see what scholarships would be available for our children. Dr. Balzar, the president, set up a meeting and we met with the director of International Studies. It would be a true blessing if some of my children could attend here. We then drove to St. Louis where we met with Dottie’s brother.

2/17. Our first day alone in the last two weeks so we slept in then ate a lake breakfast. We were able to find Christmas gifts for the teenage girls. We saw the movie, Cold Mountain, and just rested. It is so great to be able to travel home twice a year.
