#618 Our story

I wrote 600 Christmas cards then Georgie and Oscar took us out for an anniversary meal. Between yesterday & today we are stuffed.

The Ohio team went on an outreach.

Jeremy arrived to make sure all the roofing material is on site before his team arrives Friday.

We received two new children.

Dr Lou and me

1/9/2004. Our son,Chad, has cancer. It is melanoma on his back. We asked for prayer on this date in 2004 and it is 2020 and he is cured. Today we moved kids as well as dorm parents. Alex and Sara went to Estrellitas; David and Allison moved upstairs in Esperanza while Gledia to Doncellas. One of our major responsibilities eac January is the purchasing of school shoes and a pair of tennis shoes for each child. We take them 18 at a time in the white van. If I had any hair I would have surely lost it with all that has happened so far this month.

1/10. Dr Toups and Tom arrived from The Woodlands, Texas and did eye exams on every child. He still does this yearly and supplies a free pair of glasses to each child needing them.

1/11. Sunday was such a day of rest for all of the staff after the pressures of Christmas and then the start up of school. I did meet with all of the 19 university students to discuss their future as well as their responsibilities. Sadly we learned that one of our sponsors we are close to lost his wife to cancer today. They have been so faithful through the years.
