#304 our story

I want to reiterate that we always need house parents. We will need new house parents for the teenage girls next year.

Pray that God will touch hearts….maybe yours!

The Fayetteville team arrived to work in Doncillas.

Flor’s father died. She has worked for us for years.

5/9/2001.  Bill B. has allowed us to buy Christmas gifts, box them up and leave at his place of business. He will drive them down to Gulfport once we have a trailer full. Spoke at Mt Nebo Baptist in Cullman. Back home a group from Covington, La. arrived and Steve was waiting with projects so they jumped in immediately.

5/10. We visited Helen Keller’s birthplace. She was an extraordinary woman. I bought a few copies of the “Cross and the Switchblade” for the gang members. We spoke to the staff of Health and Human Resources in Limestone county. Elk River Baptist had a fish fry for us before I spoke.

5/13. Spoke at Elkmont Baptist in the morning and Eastside in Jasper in the evening.

5/14. Drove to Birmingham where we purchased jogging pants for every child at Casa to us in Physical Education. Back home our welder, Juan, and the teens are making the windows for the dorm. Steve said that there has not been any rain so they have been roofing the new dorm.

5/15. We purchased 200 pairs of shoes. The two containers arrived at Casa and the children unloaded them in 2 hours. But then everyone helped to get the items to the correct locations. Much of it was metal roofing so it was not an easy task.
