We continue to have earth tremors due to the volcano activity in Mexico.

President Trump is threatening to cut off all aid to Guatemala, Honduras & El  Salvador. If that does happen it will affect our finances tremendously.

Today was visiting day.

Our board had a conference call.

1/10/2001. The men went and bought toilets and sinks and installed them in the school rest rooms. The metal siding for the school offices and apartments arrived. I had to take all of the school kids to a photographer to have their school photos taken. Carlos took all of our teachers to a Christian school seminar. Aura, a teenager burned so horribly that she will be scared for life, was sent back to her family. I do not comprehend what the judge was thinking.

1/11 We have received 23 new children this month so we ordered more beds. We began laying floor tile and if Jerry(professional) sees it he will have a fit. The First Lady’s assistant called to tell us the First Lady had her first baby. Isn’t it amazing how God has gotten us so close to leaders in Guatemala?

1/12 Would you believe that a day after buying more beds we received six boys ages 3,4,5,7,7 and 9 years of age. Years ago when we had 25 children a friend of ours in Lake Charles said, “Mike is going to kill Dottie with that many kids”. I want you to know that Dottie is an awesome mother to hundreds of children. She never complains and loves all of them as her own.

1/13 A major earthquake hit El Salvador while I was at my desk taping a radio show. It threw me across the room. I ran as fast as I could to the baby dorm since I was concerned that the roof had collapsed. When I neared the building I saw that all the teenagers were outside holding babies. Their first thought had been the same as mine. 

1/14 Everyone worked on the school rooms laying tile, painting, cleaning and moving desks. In the evening we had a special Bible study and laid hands on each child and prayed for them and the school year.
