Today the children 0-17 were treated to a Christmas program presented by a local bank.

Dottie and I went to Antigua to pickup a few things in the market.

The bank employees with our younger children

March 17, 1997 we received a 1000 gallon diesel tank.

April 1, 1997 was opening day for our clinic to the community. April 5thSteve & Pam called and said they were coming back to Guatemala. They worked with us until God opened the door for them to begin their own ministry. Blessing!

Julio and Byron were wrestling on a commode and pulled it out of the floor. It took me hours to repair it. 20th: Stephen Strang founder & editor of Charisma Magazine Today and New Man Magazine came to visit. 23rd: Our new generator was put to the test as the electricity was off for 4 hours.

May 1997 brought us sad news as a fellow missionary and best friend of Dottie has been diagnosed with cancer.  Helen and Floyd loan us their house each Christmas to bake cakes for the children. 7th: I fired two teachers because they brought perfume to school to sell to the children.

11th: Our state began a soccer league and our children will participate in ages 7 and under; 8-11; 12-14; 15-17. The children are so excited. 17th: Two churches we built near Chimaltenango and cooked 250 steaks for the children.

21st: Student International out of California sent students to help us for a week.  Rosa broke her arm. This is the same Rosa who had surgery 8 months ago. Farrell finished the carpet on our steps.

30th: My pastor, Melvin, taught a Bible lesson to the children.
