learning to wait

Josue, Brandi, Walt & Adam took food, clothing & medicine to a village within 3 miles of the volcano. People do not want to leave their area where their home was. It appears that canned goods are the most needed items so we will take offerings & send those items.

John and the Woodlands, Tx men dropped by for a short visit as they are headed up to Quiche’.

I am learning to wait on the Lord because I know that He still has a plan for my life even though I am 75 years old.

It is difficult sometimes when I pray because God wants to give me what is best and not necessarily what I think is best. Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry”. In I Chronicles 5:20 we are told that God answers the prayers of the people because they trust Him. It is possible to pray without trusting Him.

I have to have a relationship with Him if I want to know His will for my life. The way we have a relationship with God is spending time with Him and talking to Him. The prayers that are answered are those that are based on a loving relationship.

Everything we need to know about the will of God is found in the Bible. If you spend time in the Word you will know God more intimately and be able to understand what He is saying to you personally.

Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of God rule in your heart”. The peace of God is like a regulator so that when you violate the will of God, His peace leaves you and you will have inner turmoil.
