young and old

Mateo, son of Fernando and Anna who are dorm parents, had surgery to remove his tonsils. He is doing well but of course has pain.

Sebastian had his day in court concerning the accident. There was no decision. Keep praying.

We received the largest downpour of rain in months so I suppose the rainy season is arriving.

I gave my testimony to the visitors.

Psalm 37:25 “I have been young and now I am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken nor His children begging bread”. This Psalm contrasts the destiny of the wicked with the future of the righteous. If you are a Christian you are made righteous in Christ.

The wicked will be cut off on the Day of the Lord when Jesus returns for His bride. But the righteous shall inherit the earth and be vindicated by the Lord. In verse 3 we read “Trust in the Lord and do good so shall thy dwell in the land and be fed”. We must have confidence in Christ and live close to Him. In this way He will meet our needs.

Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. This is comforting because through every trial, struggle, battle and problem, the righteous has the promise of God being with us. Paul said “If God be for us who can be against us?”

David shares his experiences in verse 25, “I have been young but now am old”. David has seen a full life. He has tasted the bitter with the sweet. Through everything David faced, whether good or bad, God had never forsaken him.

Forsaken means to abandon or leave in a lurch or to leave someone alone with a problem.
