We had a family picnic time tonight for all the children They love eating with their siblings.

Just a reminder for prayer! We need dorm parents, a maintenance person, a couple as roving dorm parents and people to help with visitors buying the food & cleaning.

The Bible tells us that the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars. Even in old age, go out and produce fruit, and you will thrive. Comedian George Burns lived past 100 years of age. When he was asked about being old he replied, “It beats the alternative”. But is it? For Christians the alternative is heaven with Jesus.

Proverbs 20:29 says, “The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old”. God has always been here for me even before I was saved over 56 years ago. Isaiah 46:4 says, “And even to your old age I am He; and even to white hairs will I carry you: I have made and I will bear; even I will carry and I will deliver you”.

I enjoy watching golf because there are hazards on the course and things can change on one swing of the club. I aim for the green but end up in a sand trap. In fact, my life has had it’s share of sand traps and “out of bounds” swings. Getting out of the sand trap takes perseverance. Never give up! Persist!

God is with us even in the sand traps.
