praise and worship #4

Adam invited me to give my testimony to the 33 pastors and I was privileged to do so.

We are $1000 from finishing another church. This one is in Canton Los Tzoc, Chiche.

One of the babies was taken to the hospital as a precaution. He was treated and released. When one of the youngest ones are sick it always makes us double cautious.

Psalm 95:1-7 “Come, let us SING for joy to the Lord; let us SHOUT ALOUD to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with THANKSGIVING and EXTOL Him with MUSIC and SONG. For the Lord is the great God; the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us BOW DOWN in worship, let us KNEEL before the Lord our Maker, for He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.”

Notice in these verses the other method of worshipping God. He tells us to shout. We love to shout at athletic events but what about before the Lord our Creator? Raising our voices is commanding by God. We should never be more excited about athletic events then we are for Christ. Psalm 47:1 tells us when we shout we should also clap our hands.

He tells us to bow down. This is a sign of our humility. Laying prostrate before the Lord as you pray in your home should not be unusual. He further says we should kneel before the Lord our Maker. Jesus knelt to pray to His Father and that should be one of the methods we use to honor God.
