Part 2 of laziness

Today, from 1pm until 4:30pm, was visiting day for parents who have permission from the courts to visit their children

After the board meeting we went and laid hands on Ezdras and Marlin anointing them with oil as they begin their ministry to the boys in Vencedores.

The board would like us to have a husband/wife house parents for all dorms so that means we need two couples. One for the baby dorm and the other for the little girls! Pray with us!

The seven symptoms of laziness are (1) denying that they are lazy. (Proverbs 26:16). (2) Laziness happens slowly. Proverbs 6:10-11 tells us that we start with a little extra sleep and it will lead to poverty which means too lazy to work. (3) Proverbs 20:4 says that lazy people disregard the importance of time and seasons. God will call a person but if that person procrastinates God will call someone else.

Fourth, lazy people do not finish the job. Ecclesiastes 10:18 says, Bu much slothfulness the building decays and through the idleness of hands the house droppeth through.” A lazy person will constantly give reasons why they cannot do something today. Their mantra is “I will do it tomorrow .”

Fifth, lazy people live in a world of wishful thinking. Proverbs 21:25-26 says, “The desire of the slothful kills him, for his hands refuse to labor. He coveteth greedily all the day long.” When the lazy man is not sleeping or committing one of errors listed above he is daydreaming about things he wants to do.

Sixth, the lazy person brings damage to his employer. Proverbs 18:9 says, “He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster”. A lazy person wastes not only opportunities but they waste their lives.

Seventh, the lazy person struggles with irrational fears. Proverbs 22 :13 says, The slothful man sayeth, there is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets. Eventually he is isolated from others.
