Disappointed
We left home at 4am for the dental appointment at 6. I was able to get the 4 crowns so I should be doing better soon.
The teams were divided with one group painting, one group went to Antigua and the third group went with Adam.
Katherine’s surgery was successful so she came home.
Pastor Jamie ministered to the teenage boys.
The Fellowship team had Bible study and then games with the younger children.
Sebastian and Walt met with Dr. Lou about the children in dialysis.
Are you ever disappointed? Of course you are! Everyone is disappointed at one time or another. In fact I suppose that a day does not pass where we are not a little disappointed.
Things do not always happen the way we want them to. Some of my disappointments are because of my own fault whereas other disappointments are things I have no control over. These are the disappointments for which I have no control. Such as my favorite team losing a game.
Some disappointments make us wonder if anything good could come of them. Our problem is we cannot look into the future. In Romans Paul tells us that “All things work together for good if we love God and are called unto His purpose.” This does not say that all things are good but that God can use them to our good if we keep the right attitude.
You must love God! That is the key to this verse becoming your very own. All things are not good and ll things will not work to the good unless you love God. Those four words, “if we love God” are the key to whether you will weather your storms and succeed as a child of God.
If you really love God make these last four words your very own. “If you love God!”
