Abram speaks of 7 doors opened for us. John 10:1,2 7 & 9 speak of the door opened to the sheepfold. What doors are opened for us?
- There is a door of freedom. Acts 16:26 “Suddenly there was an earthquake and the doors of the prison were opened”. God wants us to be free of sin, temptation and poverty.
- There is the door of effectual work for God. I Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries”. Ministry is difficult. God is not just looking for faith. He is looking for works also. You are not saved by works but works indicate that you have faith in Christ alone.
- There is the door of preaching. II Corinthians 2:12 “When I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel and a door was opened for me”. If you truly want to share the gospel God will open that door.
- There is the door of witness. Colossians 4:3. “Withal prying that God would open the door of utterance”. The entire church is expected to witness.
- There is a door of opportunity. Revelation 3:8 “I know thy works and I have opened the door and no man can shut it”. There are opportunities for every Christian to make a difference.
- There is the door of worship. Revelation 4:1. “Behold a door is opened in heaven”. Heaven is a place of worship available to all who call on Christ’s name.
- There is the door of salvation. Revelation 3:20. “I stand at the door and knock and if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in”. This is the door we have to open.
