Dr, Lou told Sebastian and Walt that one of the boys from dialysis sent home by the courts is very ill and wants to come back. There is an 8 year old abandoned by his family who needs dialysis. But we do not have room for both boys.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are you saved through faith; and not that of yourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works lest any man shall boast.”
Grace is the inexhaustible riches and boundless goodness and kindness of God toward man. Grace is nothing less than the unlimited love of God expressing itself in measureless grace. Grace is pure favor from God. We do not deserve it.
In salvation, we never choose God first. He reaches out to us initially and we respond or do not respond to that reach. John 15:16 “You have not chosen me but I have chosen you”.
Salvation is a gift from God secured by Jesus’s death on the cross. We as sinners have to be moved by a force outside of ourselves. We are blind to who we really are until the Holy Spirit awakens us to our need of God. However, Ephesians 1:16 says that “as many as receive Him”. That is the human side of salvation. It is a giving by God and a receiving by man that completes the act of salvation and eternal life.
