Tony took us to the airport & the traffic was so bad it took longer to get to get there than it took the airplane to bring us to Houston. The devastation is horrible. Water is everywhere.

John & Sharon Harvey were on our flight. They were our first people to live at Casa and help us.

Malcolm picked us up in Houston & drove us to Lake Charles. We are tired but I began writing the Christmas cards. The camp where we stay was watered in so we are at a motel.

Spray anagrammed the word SELF to demonstrate how to win the victory over our fleshly nature.

“S” is surrendering all to Jesus. Romans 6:13 “yield yourselves to God”. When you try to do too much in your own strength you will fail. The Christian life was never intended for us to go it alone. I must put my faith in Him so we can share the responsibilities of what He has called us to do.

“E” is enduring hardships for Christ. II Timothy 2:3, “Endure hardships as a good soldier for Christ”. A soldier is always training and getting prepared for upcoming battles when they occur. Enduring means you take a stand and will not be moved from that spot.

“L” is love others as Christ loves them. Galatians 2:20 “The Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”. When your main concern in life is yourself you will not care about the needs of others. Everything will be personal and you will only serve yourself. I John 4:12 “If we love one another, God lives in us, and His love is perfected in us”.

“F” is for faithfully serving with Christ. II Corinthians 6:1 “We then as workers together with Him…” We are unfruitful when we are unfaithful. If you serve with Jesus as the Rock you will be careless and neglectful. You will win over your self-life when you serve with Christ in putting others above yourself.
