everlasting love

Jacobo & Tony who live in our home as well as other students began their practicum which is where they get experience in the areas they studied in high school.

We had a major meeting with Billy concerning plans for the 2018 school year.

We also had our staff prayer time with Jim leading.

Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with kindness”. I love Dottie but I also love LSU. Obviously the two loves are vastly different. We are not always certain about the meaning of love. We use the word love in all sorts of situations. I love chicken or I love soccer.

Non-biblical ideas about love will affect our spiritual lives. In the King James Bible the word most used for love is charity. Charity is actually the word Agape which is God’s love.

God demonstrated His love for us in that “while we were yet sinners Christ died for us”. We are sinners. We are powerless. We are ungodly. Without Christ we are enemies of God. Agape demonstrates the wonder of the love of God being expressed to people who are so unworthy of it. I am not righteous yet God loves me. That is agape love.

God loves those who love His Son. John 16:27 “The Father Himself loves you because you have loved me and have believe I came from God”. John 17:23 “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent Me and have loved them even as you have loved Me”.
