Lily from Tennessee was at Casa when adopted & she came to visit today for the first time. What a blessing!

The Lord has blessed us with workers this week. Teams from Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina will be here before Friday. If the weather holds they will paint walls. Some will work on Las Cometas & Casa for Antoni as well as add a room in the small blue visitor’s dorm. Some even celebrated July 4th with traditional hamburgers.

I ministered to the boys about relationships.

John 13:34 “I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another.” You and I are commanded to love. If we are Christians we are not given an option. We must love everyone. In Luke 6:35 He even says that we are to love our enemies. When I think of loving those who organized to crashes into the towers of the World Trade Center I have to “pump up” my love. It is not easy to love those who hate you.

You and I live in a world of me-first. Yet, Jesus tells us to be compassionate to everyone and in all situations. We are to love people over things. People are much more valuable to God then our things. Recently in New York two brothers had a motorcycle stolen and they chased the thieves and killed them.

Do you remember the story of the rich young ruler and how Jesus forced him to make a decision? He told him to sell all that he had (things) and give it to the poor (people). He was demonstrating that things have little value whereas love for people has great value.

Money and possessions too often builds a wall between us and others. It keeps us from loving people. Words without action carry very little weight in the kingdom of God.
