Principles of success #5

We shared with the Wadesboro Rotary club.

The weather was not as bad as expected but a very cold front is moving into the area.

We received three new children ages 12, 8 and 4 years old.

The ninth principle of success is you must not quit if you want to succeed. Hebrews 12:1 “Let us run with patience the race that is before us”. It does not take a rocket scientist to tell you that you lose if you do not finish the course. I suppose the greatest disappointments that I have experienced in Guatemala are the children who had every opportunity and yet quit before graduation or before they have discovered their call in life.

If I had money for each time I wanted to quit we would not have any financial problems. There had been many a time I just wanted to pack it up and return to my children and grandchildren in the USA.

10) A fresh outlook on life is always a must for daily success. Romans 12:1 “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind”. The manner in which the courts and laws in Guatemala have changed is beyond description. Therefore we have to do diligence in order to stay up with what is expected and required of us.

The old ways are sometimes the best but they do not always fit into what is actually happening. We did not have cell phones or landlines when we arrived in Guatemala and now everyone is on something where they can communicate immediately.
