“Christ”mas #4

Olga was taken to the hospital with her blood pressure off the chart so everyone was concerned. But 3 hours later baby Sophia entered the world healthy and both mother and daughter are well.

Kaizer’s tests were not positive enough for him to come home today so please pray for him.

It is estimated that since Adam there have been 108,000,000,000,000 births. But only one of those births was born to die and not to live. As I shared earlier Jesus was born to die. You and I struggle to live as long as we can.

There has not been any verse in the Bible used more to bring people to Jesus than John 3:16 “For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.

I come to Christmas every year knowing that if God is for me who can be against me. He loves me, guides me and protects me. His names: Emmanuel, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Messiah, the Christ, Word of God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Jesus. No one ever came to earth like Jesus to give us light that we may know God.

“Man shall not perish” is the purpose of Christmas. To perish is the state to which we were born. This verse speaks all the way back to Adam and the fall. He was condemned to death, removed from fellowship with God and totally put away from God. Curses!! Adam would work amongst the weeds and one-day return to dust. Eve would have pain in childbirth and she also would return to dust.

Can you imagine God taking this man who was made in His image and casting him from His presence and saying, “Into the dirt where you belong”? Awful truth! The New Testament tells us that there is no way in which we can know God except through Jesus.

We are in darkness and living in the devil’s world until we receive Jesus. “Perish” is all of the calamity that has fallen on man since Adam.

Stay tuned! Have a Christian Holiday!
